Run Nona 5K and Nemours Kids’ Run

The 14th Annual Run Nona event ended with an epic after party

Our favorite 5K recently completed its 14th annual race around Lake Nona.

The 2021 Run Nona event featured a new route that took more than 1,300 runners and walkers past Lake Nona’s health and medical facilities, including the new UCF Lake Nona Hospital. Even the littlest runners had a blast on the Nemours Kids’ Run.

Before the run, racers explored the newly opened Lake Nona Performance Club where instructors lead exclusive race day classes and a family stretch.

Just steps from the finish line, the event’s signature block party transformed Lake Nona Town Center into a family fun festival with inflatable carnival games, ice cream truck, kid’s crafts, the Bubble Bus, and more.

The Block Party kept the fun going throughout the night with live entertainment, dance parties, ice cold treats and tasty food from Boxi Park capped off with an unforgettable family foam zone in front of the Beacon.

The Nona Soccer Academy won the Team Challenge for a third time and designated $500 to Nona Soccer Cares Foundation, a local nonprofit that offers all-inclusive and innovative soccer programs for children.
