Annual Fourth of July Celebration

Each year, Lake Nona celebrates the Fourth of July with festivities for the whole family to enjoy ending with nighttime fireworks show

June 06, 2021

It’s time to break out the red, white, and blue, start baking grandma’s apple pie, and get ready for a spectacular fireworks show because Lake Nona’s annual Fourth of July celebration is here!

For 2021, we’re celebrating all weekend long, Thursday, June 24 – Saturday, June 26, with a festive line-up of events for the Great American Weekend.

Thursday, June 24: Strawberry Full Moon Party

Boxi Park, 6 p.m.

We’re kicking off the Great American Weekend with our first-ever Strawberry Full Moon Party! This one-of-a-kind event celebrates the first full moon of summer – the Strawberry Moon – named to mark the peak of berry season.

On Thursday, June 24, the golden-hued moon will rise and Boxi Park will transform into the ultimate beach oasis fit for a summertime celestial celebration. Join us for live entertainment including dancers, stilt walkers, and a drum circle in addition to exclusive, strawberry-inspired food and drink options available throughout the park. Get a glimpse into the future by visiting the palm and tarot card readers, and astrologists or try your luck with the snake charmer!

This event is 21+ and requires a $15 cover charge to enter Boxi Park.

Friday, June 25: Taste of Cape Cod

Lake Nona Town Center, 6 p.m.

For the second night of celebrations, we’re bringing one of the world’s most iconic beach destinations, Cape Cod, to Lake Nona!

Taste of Cape Cod will bring the town’s quintessential New England style to Lake Nona Town Center with patriotic decorations, live band playing all of your yacht rock favorites, stilt and ground performers, kid’s activities, and, of course, a selection of classic seafood dishes that will transport you to the Northeastern shore.

We’re also playing a special showing of “JAWS” on the roof of the Beacon and Code Wall parking garage beginning at 9 p.m. Make sure to bring your own chairs or seating. Age restrictions will apply and ID checked at the elevator.
