Fall Favorites

A roundup of must-attend events in Lake Nona

October 07, 2020

Some of our favorite fall events are returning this year along with special additions we think you’ll love. Plus, we’ve taken extra steps to keep your health and safety in mind as we gather for a fun and festive time. All events are outdoors where everyone will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Here’s a roundup of events you can look forward to in Lake Nona this season:

RIDE FOR RONALD

October 11

The 11th annual Ride for Ronald event is going virtual! Join the Ride/5k Anywhere for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida from your favorite trail and they’ll join you via livestream on race day!

The organizers are waving year’s registration fees, but each participant will be provided with a personal fundraising page to benefit Ronald McDonald House families across Central Florida including our local location at Nemours Children’s Hospital.

SPOOKNONA

October 16-18

Lake Nona’s annual Halloween celebration is back with a weekend’s worth of seasonal fun for the whole family. Say “hello, gourd-geous” to our first-ever Lake Nona Pumpkin Patch inside Boxi Park! Pumpkins will range from $10 – $20 each depending on size. Costumes (not too spooky) are encouraged with photo ops and live entertainment available throughout the weekend. Arrive with an appetite because your favorite Boxi Park food and beverages will also be available.

October 17

Head over to Crescent Park for a spooky screening of Hocus Pocus at 7:30 p.m. Arrive early to snag some seasonal treats and select a socially-distanced circle where you and your family can sit to watch the movie. There will be funnel cakes, kettle corn, donuts, and more! A surprise spooky appearance is also possible.

VETERANS CELEBRATION

November 13

Lake Nona is hosting an inaugural veterans celebration event in Lake Nona Town Center honoring local veterans from 6 – 9 p.m. Stay tuned for more details!

While there’s a lot to look forward to this fall, the fun will continue through the end of the year with the return of Lake Nona’s one-of-a-kind annual holiday celebration, Oh What Fun! We’ll share more details as the holiday season approaches.
