UF Research & Academic Center

The University of Florida Research and Academic Center in Lake Nona houses a nationally ranked Doctorate in Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program, world-class research facilities and a team of faculty and staff focused on innovative approaches to research and patient care, particularly in the areas of cancer, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and brain disorders.

THE LAKE NONA CAMPUS

The Lake Nona facility features the Center for Pharmacometrics and Systems Pharmacology, Institute for Therapeutic Innovation, Center for Pharmacogenomics, Institute of Aging, Clinical and Translational Science Institute, and Medication Therapy Management Communication and Care Center.

Innovative Approaches to Research & Patient Care

The UF Academic and Research Center brings together renowned researches, clinicians, teachers and students under the banner of providing effective therapies and improving the health of patients.

This facility is among the first academic centers in the nation to adopt sophisticated mathematical modeling and computer simulations that mimic clinical trials of new drugs. These simulated trials allow researchers to determine if a drug is beneficial and avoid investing in drugs that don’t have the potential to help millions of people.

All of this is keeping with the campus’s mission of getting safe and affordable drugs to the American public while meeting the health needs of the community and the nation.
